Like all of us on the All Play Team, Marion Altieri has been a horse lover and racing fan for a looong time.  As she is fond of saying, “For 50 years (so far).” 

Marion is an Alumna of Mount Holyoke College, where she found her voice as a writer, advocate and public speaker. Marion’s three decades of professional experience include writing/editing, public relations, and marketing in myraid areanae, among them, NARAS (the Grammy Awards); Saratoga.com (for which she writes the popular blog, “Mairzy Doats”); Saratoga TODAY newspaper; The Saratoga Experience magazine and www.Secretariat.com. 

She is also the hostess of “View From A Broad,” a racing-oriented radio talk program heard online on Thursday evenings at 6 PM on Blog Talk Radio.  Just go to www.blogtalkradio.com/thoroughbredwriterviewfromabroad, where you will find instructions for access to live and archived shows. 

Known in equine circles (ovals?) as The Alpha Mare, Marion is a member of American Horse Publications and the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame, and she’s on the Steering Committee for EquineConnections.org.
