Robin with "Mining Silver"
Robin Fiester was born and raised in the Endless Mountains region of Pennsylvania, in Sullivan County to be precise. She’s an outdoors-loving All American Girl who has been engaged in a love affair with horses virtually all of her life.
Robin owned, worked with, and rode horses as a youngster, an interest that led her to Louisiana Tech University, from which institution she graduated in 1984 with a B.S. in Animal Science, emphasis: Equine Science. While at LA Tech she worked on the University horse farm, focusing on the breeding barn and general mare care. As a senior Robin served as Student Broodmare Manager, supervising the care and breeding of the University’s five stallions and over one hundred mares. This, plus Robin’s previous experience ‘at the track’ working with Standardbreds, was the perfect program to usher a young person directly into a long career in something equine.
So of course it was no surprise when Robin returned to Sullivan County and went into…Real Estate Sales! Here, in 1987, she found herself selling the same land that she had once traversed on horseback while enjoying summer employment as a trail-riding Tour Guide in Eagles Mere, PA.
A ‘natural’ in sales, Robin enjoyed great success, and in 1998, after getting her brokers license, she opened her own company, Robin Real Estate, which has since grown to three offices and fourteen agents.
Robin: “My father always told me, ‘Do what you love and you’ll never ‘work’ a day in your life,’ and that has proven to be true for me. I really enjoy the real estate business, primarily because I get to meet and work with a variety of new and interesting people, but also because it has given our agency the opportunity to show people that we can provide them with a level of caring and service that we believe they require and deserve.” After which Robin quickly adds, “But I have always loved horses.”
In conversations with Robin in the summer of ’08, Paul Rothfuss explained his concept for All Play Stable and asked Robin to join him in this exciting endeavor. With great enthusiasm she agreed to do so on the spot. Sara Dunham joined the All Play team just a short while later.
Robin brings extensive knowledge of equine care and breeding to All Play Stable, and she also has the practiced eye of a most successful businesswoman. These talents are of significant help as we plan the mating of our mares, supervise the care and raising of our foals, and manage the business affairs of All Play Stable and All Play Racing for the mutual benefit of the All Play Team and all of our Partners.
Robin: “One can never love every part of one’s work every day, but in today’s world, to love ones life, both professional and personal, is truly a precious gift.
We’re looking forward to sharing our knowledge, our passion, and all of the Fun and Excitement of Thoroughbred racing with our Partners and with friends, old and new. We think we’re going to get some really good horses and we want you to be a part of that.”
