Our Goals

At All Play Stable, our goals are to make Thoroughbred ownership possible for a large number of people, and then to race good horses with our Members.  Lots of good horses.  Really good horses.

We intend to accomplish this by offering shares in sensibly constructed, multiple-horse, multiple-share racing partnerships, shares that are priced to make ownership possible – for you.  We thought it a good idea to explain what we mean by ’sensible’ and ‘possible.’ 

To us, Sensible means:

  • We’re seeking Members who want Thoroughbred ownership but want to hold their risk to $18-thousand dollars or less, spread over a couple of years .  Our Members want all of the Fun and Excitement that comes with owning racehorses, but they don’t want to lie awake nights worrying about what the experience is costing.
  • We know that racing is a bit of a Numbers Game, so we offer at least two horses in each of our partnerships.  We wouldn’t invest in just one horse.  In good conscience we can’t recommend that our Members do so.  
  • We breed most of the horses we syndicate, and our pedigrees emphasize soundness and class.  This is carefully explained in “Breeding Racehorses – My Thoughts.”  
  • We never use horses with unforgivable conformation flaws or debilitating health problems.
  • Many of our partnerships are formed when our horses are ‘short’ yearlings.  Our Members do have to wait a bit longer, but it’s far less expensive than syndicating horses as two year-olds.

Possible means:

  • Our typical partnership is sixteen shares, each a 6% ownership interest.
  • Our shares cost from $1,175 to $5,000, depending upon what we have invested in the horses. 
  • Over the entire term of the LLC your per-share expenses will average $750 per-quarter ($250/month).  This will be less when the horses are turned out, more when they’re at the racetrack, and less if they earn money.
  • We believe that if you can afford to buy or lease a $20,000 car, you can be an owner with us.
