You Should Play, Too

Happy Father’s Day!

In keeping with the upbeat mood of the occasion we spent some time this morning considering how we might presentky-derby-059 a simple-but-accurate picture of the positive side of Thoroughbred horse racing.  Our musing led us to the following four words that we believe just might neatly sum it all up.

Say hello to Hope, Anticipation, Fun, and Excitement.

What in this tough old world could pour Hope into the heart of a Thoroughbred owner faster than spending a morning in a field with a friend, a pocket full of treats, and a bunch of broodmares and babies?   “Maybe that chestnut colt is ‘the one.’  Or it could be the bay filly over there.  Her momma could run a bit, and her daddy was really quick.”   In a field of broodmares and babies, Hope is literally all around you.

Next up, Anticipation.  There’s not much in this world that’s is better than mornings at a training center, watching set after set of peppy two year-olds go to the track for their daily lessons.  Actually, there is something!  It’s way better when one of them is yours!  As the owner of a nice two year-old that’s training up to its first race, you’re on top of the world.  Your Anticipation will be sky high!

Messrs Fun  and Excitement arrive when your horse begins working in earnest, and it builds as he gets closer to a race and the day your trainer says, “There’s a race in the book on the 25th and he’s ready to run.”

Now it’s race day.  He’s in the third.  You go to the track in the morning to check him out.  The hours crawl by.

You’re on the rail about noon.  Your race is at 1:45.  Your heart’s in your throat as they load him into the gate – AND THEY’RE OFF!

We’re all jumping up and down - cheering like crazy.  You’re cheering loudest of all.  The race is over.  Did he win?

Win, lose, or draw, you can’t wait to do it all again!

That’s it in a nutshell.  Does it sound like something you’d enjoy?  What’s that you said - ”I want to own a race horse?”

Come join us in an All Play Stable Racing Partnership.  You should play.  You’ll have the time of your life!

Thank you for your interest.

Respectfully,
